ATLANTA –On Thursday, April 17, Weissman, Nowack, Curry & Wilco, P.C., (“WNCW”) attorney Jeffrey H. Schneider will lead the 19th annual 3-day “Capitol to Coast” bike ride from Atlanta to Charleston. All proceeds from personal donations directly benefit the Georgia Special Olympics Cycling Program.
“The ride started as a simple bet among a few friends as to our ability to ride our bikes from Atlanta to the coast, and has continued every Spring for the past 19 years. Our destination has alternated between Charleston and Savannah. It is a small event with around 8 or so riders taking part” says Jeff Schneider. He continues, “To keep us motivated, we have made the ride into a fundraiser for the Georgia Special Olympics cycling program, and have raised over $50,000.00 for the cause.”
The bike ride is three days, approximately 110 miles per day, departing from Covington, Georgia on April 17 and arriving in Charleston, South Carolina on April 19. Riders of all levels are eligible to participate. The participants cover all their own expenses, and every dollar raised goes to support Special Olympics Georgia to help sponsor athletes throughout the State. Cycling is the most expensive sport per athlete costing the Special Olympics program over $360 per athlete.
WNCW, one of the nation’s premier real estate law firms, is raising money through their Community Services project to support Jeff in his continued charitable efforts. The firm’s financial support will be used to purchase bicycles to donate directly to Special Olympic Athletes. |
