Brad Hutchins focuses his practice on representing closely held businesses in litigation and with their transactional needs. He represents numerous companies in the real estate field, including builders and contractors, materialmen, and real estate investors. In addition, he has handled hundreds of successful suits in property tax-related cases, including more than 20 appellate cases. Brad specializes in representing clients involved in the purchase of property tax liens and tax foreclosure deeds, and has handled hundreds of quiet title actions in the superior courts across the state.
Prior to joining Weissman, Nowack, Curry & Wilco, Brad was a Partner with Proctor Hutchins Porterfield where he represented small businesses in litigation.
In the Profession Brad is admitted to practice in all Georgia trial and appellate courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and has been admitted pro hac vice in a case before the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
In the Community
An active member of the legal community, Brad is a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Georgia, chair of that section’s Property Tax Committee and a member of the Title Standards Committee. He currently serves as the liaison between the Real Estate Section and the Property Tax Committee. In 2008, Brad was named one of "The 2008 Legal Elite: Georgia's Most Effective Lawyers" by Georgia Trend Magazine. Brad is “AV” rated by Martindale Hubbell for outstanding legal ability and legal ethics.
